With signals on the horizon of a likely spurt in construction projects, especially along the north coast, a major Build Expo and Conference is slated for Montego Bay in June next year.

Already, the conference, to be held under the theme: ‘Build the Future Today’, is attracting mounting private sector and government support. It will offer substantial networking opportunities to participants.

Recently, Prime Minister Andrew Holness, in reference to renewed consumer confidence in the island, expressed optimism that the expo will be a success.

“I am confident that the event will be at the highest global standards and that there will be specific focus on the many possibilities for development throughout the island,” a release from the organisers stated.

Lead organiser, Montego Bay businessman Dwight Crawford, noted that, “The Build Expo & Conference 2017 is coming to the Montego Bay Convention Centre on June 9 – 11 and will be held in order to establish a world-class build expo for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region. We are dedicated to promoting the build industry, home-ownership and property development; with emphasis on clean alternative energy solutions and environmentally responsible practices,” Crawford stated.

The expo will present local, regional and international exhibitors of products and services with an array of industries connected to the building and property development sectors. These include finance, hardware, furniture and appliances, architecture, landscape and interior design.
